Finally got to see @vundabores live tonight at @uniontransfer and they were incredible. They played “Darla” and it was amazing live. I’ll be honest the majority of my photos were just me being infatuated by @dork_mcdonald ‘s insane shenanigans on the drums. One of the most animated drummers I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Loved every minute of it.

Had such a fun time at my first @phillycreate gathering today in beautiful Philadelphia. Got to meet so many creators. Incredibly talented photographers and some of the most professional models I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Was an amazing time. Huge shoutout has to go to @virginiadidthat who helped creatively direct the majority of these shots. There are few things that make me smile more at a show than a bassist that loves what they’re doing and shares that energy with everyone in the crowd (looking at you @andykempt). @thebandshygodwin captured that spirit at @breakfreefest and the crowd responded beautifully to it. Super high intensity performance that had the floors shaking under us. I’ve really fallen in love with this city’s music scene.

Two film shots of many from my recent pilgrimage to @alexgreycosm and @allysongreycosm's @chapelofsacredmirrors The first shot is of the doors to the chapel which only hint at the wonders within. The second is me in the chapel proper doing the photographer selfie. This was an incredibly healing journey for me. Like many folks I was first introduced to Alex's work by @toolmusic and it changed the course of my life. Through Alex's art I was able to discover for the first time what I would call a kind of spirituality - an interconnectedness with all things. His work captured the unseen in a way that allowed me to see. Later in my life when I saw those same things Alex painted with my own inner eyes the power of his work meant even more to me. Today listening to Tool and looking at Alex's artwork (I have a humongous collection of his art on woven blankets) is almost my equivalent of sacrament. This journey was for 12 year old David listening to Tool on the radio for the first time, and having my 3rd eye only just slightly start to pry open. For the David who first tried psychedelics and realized we are all one consciousness. For David suffering through cancer treatment and not knowing if he would ever make it out of that alive. For all the forms of me that were and will be. For the David right now going through another ridiculously difficult time in my life. I got to meet Alex and Allyson at COSM and it was incredible. I of course was too shy to ask if I could take their photo but just being in their presence and having Allyson being so welcoming and kind to me was something I will never forget. I am so thankful to both of them for their work. If you have the opportunity in your life, you need to go to the chapel. Wednesday night's Open Drag night in @the.barter.box at @quinteassence was absolutely incredible again. @rats_memento_mori has really built an incredible event for drag performers to show off their talents and grow this community. While all of the performers were phenomenal, I do have to make a really special shout out to @desdesastre who performed two wildly captivating dances, the last of which may have been my favorite drag performance of all time? It was so amazing. Absolutely horrifyingly beautiful. Dancing was incredible, the hops between songs were on point, the make-up and costuming were superb and the performance was so breathtaking and jarring and uncanny that I kept almost missing shots because I was just absolutely enthralled.
